Patu

Meaning: Originally a Maori weapon signifying strength, courage and high status. Given as a gift I can symbolize leadership and protection, strength, wisdom of an elder or the connection to heritage.

 This Patu, stands 900mmH x 430mmW x 250mD, made from recyclable materials. Each piece is fully handmade and will look slightly different form the next. Finished in white concrete and comes with a black painted insert, painted in outdoor paint. Hemp Rope in the eye ( totally optional).  Painted insert on front only.

Hardy and durable, yet easy enough to move around. Left natural and rustic.

Finished look resembles pumice, with the outer surface covered in tiny holes.

First and foremost, this website isn’t an online store, and you are unable to purchase anything directly online. It is instead an online gallery with the products that we have to offer, where you can browse and then get in touch to make an order.
Items on display on this page are not necessarily the item you will be buying – due to the “handmade” nature of our business, each piece is quiet individual. However, the item shown is a fare indication of the final result.
Painted inserts come either Black or White, with or without indentions. We can paint inserts a specific color on request.
Pick ups must be made by appointment, we are located in Peria Road, Matamata.
